I.          CALL TO ORDER

            Chairperson Bozeman called the meeting to order at 8:03 a.m.

 

II.            APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF NOVEMBER 20, 2007

           

Ms. Marx moved to approve the Minutes of November 20, 2007.  Ms. Quilleux seconded.   Motion passed unanimously.

 

III.            REPORT FROM CHAIRPERSON BOZEMAN

 

Chairperson Bozeman attended the Florida Historical Society meeting and distributed the 2008 Saturday Lecture Series schedule. 

 

Chairperson Bozeman announced her resignation as Chairperson.  Ms. Andren nominated Ms. Marx as Chairperson.  Ms. Dunn seconded.  Motion passed unanimously. 

 

Ms. Andren nominated Ms. Bozeman as Vice Chairperson.  Ms. Dunn seconded.  Motion passed unanimously. 

 

IV.            PROJECTS

 

A.             Potential Interviewee Schedule

Committee members reported progress in gathering information on potential interviewees.  Interviews are scheduled to begin Saturday, February 9^th at 9:00 a.m.  Interviewees and time schedule to be determined at next meeting, January 22^nd.       Chairperson Bozeman will continue to update the list.  

 

B.             Archive Files

Ms. Andren and Ms. Bruffey continuing to work on archiving in Chambers.  Chairperson Bozeman agreed to invite Ron Constantino to attend the next archival meeting.  Next scheduled archiving dates are January 23^rd, February 6^th, 13^th and 27^th from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.  Please contact Ms. Andren if you are interested in helping out. 

 

C.                Town Website

Committee discussed writing an article about town history each month and posting to the town’s website. 

 

D.                The Indialantic Record

Chairperson Bozeman agreed to draft an article asking residents for photos, memorabilia and/or artifacts.

 

V.            OTHER

A.        Committee discussed having an annual event (Ms. Andren will look into time frame of Melbourne High School Class Reunion of 1958 in May 2008)

 

B.            The next meeting is January 22^nd at 8:00 a.m.

 

VI.            ADJOURNMENT

 

Meeting adjourned at 8:50 a.m.
