POLICE BEAT
On behalf of the Indialantic Police Department, we would like to take this opportunity to say farewell to our friend and colleague, Officer Terry Tenpenny. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
For those of you who do not know me, you soon will! My name is Officer Ryan Deschenes and I will be taking over the reigns from Officer Tenpenny as your Community Policing Officer. I have been serving the Indialantic community since 2001 and with law enforcement experience from Connecticut to Boston and then Indialantic, I will strive to better assist you with an understanding of the services that our department provides and meet the changing needs for our families, businesses, and tourism. This will enable us as a community, working together, to grow and build our strengths.
I look forward to meeting with you and working together to keep our community safe. In addition, as we set goals for 2008, know that I have full intentions to increase the ranks of the Indialantic Police Explorers, our youth who volunteer their time to aide in Town functions and learn the fundamentals of law enforcement.
We at the Indialantic Police Department are in the community, on your streets, and outside your homes and businesses 24 hours a day. I encourage you to call, ask questions and report suspicious activity. “Make our Business Yours”
You can contact me at rdeschenes@indialantic.com or call our information and non-emergency line at 321-723-7788. Information about the many services we provide to our Town residents and businesses can also be found in the Police section of the Town website at www.indialantic.com.
Thank you and have a happy and safe beginning to the New Year.
Officer Ryan Deschenes
